My New Perspectives in Life

I can still remember myself when I was five years old wanting to become a teacher, but I had to change it to becoming a hotelier so I can travel the world and meet people. No! Actually I had some pains with how some of my teachers gave too much attention to others than me. (But I have completely forgiven them. Everything happens for a reason.) Anyway, did you see it? Circumstances affect our decision in life it can make us continue or stop doing something.

Let me share to you these new insights I learned over the years.

1. Happiness is what you are.

Let me make it a number point. Some people are too occupied about pleasing others or conforming to what the society wants. I must say we have a beautiful society, it judges at times but mostly it forgives, loves and cares. So care less about the voice of negativity - celebrate more on happiness.

For one to be truly happy is to make his/her choice of becoming one. It is not to be dictated by others but by the inner you. I remember being asked if which came first - success then happiness or happiness then success?

I would love to look at it this way, there is no happiness in success for happiness is a state of mind and if you are someone working on your success you can always choose to start becoming happy before getting to that success and happiness is increased the more you practice it.

2. Complaining keeps us from moving forward.

We can have all the complain in the world but can it really help you change things? Why bother and use your energy to complain when you can divert your attention to action in order to change it.

Do you know why most people complain? Because they think it could be done better, this is a good idea. But they don't go to the next step of resolving it rather they look for someone to blame without trying to fix it.

3. Having a 9-5 jobs is never secure.

Don't be mad at me with this perspective. But don't you also agree that there are so many people in the world today who do not work a 9 to 5 jobs but are doing well in life?

Our perspective about working, making a living has to changed. Let us not be a man in the computer world with the stone age mentality. Having a 9 to 5 job is good but be open for options or else you might be left out. ( I am really not so comfortable in writing this point but I would rather say it that keep it specially if it can help you.)

4. The best financial advise you can get is the advise of someone who has it.

Too scary we ask opinion from people who do not even have the right answers. I can listen to other people's opinion but following a wrong person's opinion is a tragedy.

You cannot ask a smoker on how to quit smoking. So is in finance, if you want financial literacy you cannot ask someone who do not have it. I know there are good people there who are broke at the moment but was wealthy before they can maybe give good advise to help you avoid there mistakes but to follow someone who never experienced what you want to experience is a NO unless you are ready to risk.

This is a developing story. I hope to see you around as I grow these list.

Here's my favorite post about finance.
