Most people are too concern with the first 2 dimensions of life - the public and the private life. Public is what most people see in you based on how you impressed them. Your family and close friends can best describe your private life. This is how you interact with them. But do we only keep our concerns only on the first 2 degrees or dimensions of our lives?
In trying to understand yourself or your motives the third dimension is being controlled by - our SECRET LIFE. That is where your heart is, your dreams are planted or your motives are inspired.
The most important part of you is your Secret Life, not because this is where things are hidden but because this is where you truly live.
Inner peace as we call it is not achieved by satisfying or following others but it is about making what you have seen in your heart and following what you personally believe.
What is a Secret Life?
As Dr. Stephen R. Covey book stated, Secret life is the mainspring that motivate the other two lives - your private and public life. Not so many people are able to visit or are willing to visit their secret lives regularly.
Courage is required in order for one to visit his/her secret life because you need to give up the social mirror or what society expects you to become.
How do You Visit Your Secret Life?
1. Examine your motives.
Ask yourself of questions like -What do think about life? What are my motivations? Why am I doing what I do? What is my purpose?
If things in my secret life are in my control, should I take charge of my life?
How do I exercise my free will. Do I choose to wake up early or late? Do I choose to forgive or not? Do I need to stay or change?
Should I start exploring or should I wait for the right time or opportunity to make things right.
The activation of your secret life is going to make a huge impact on both your private and public life. They will be reflected with your engagement and outlook in the life outside your secret life.
2. Your Self-Affirmations.
One of the keys to a healthy secret life is having self-affirmation. This is how you communicate to your inner soul and connect to your source. When God created us, a temple from within was included.
The ideal self-affirmation has qualities,
- It's stated in a positive, personal and present tense.
- It's affirming what is healthy, good and value creating.
- It does not hurt or sacrifice others or relationship others.
- It forgives, inspires and believe in the future.
- Your emotion is attached to it and you are well connected to it.
- It's meaningful existence is felt, seen and clearly accepted inside you.
- It's about receiving the healing process and the personal growth within you.
- It's already happening.
If negative is happening, why will you choose and expect the negative if you can choose the positive and abundant.
3. Practice it Regularly.
Life changing events does not happen overnight specially when your attitude is involved. The key to getting your expected outcome is to get started and make it an everyday practice until it becomes a new formed habits and success.
