—Kevin Guest, CEO

USANA Health Sciences Recognized by Outside Magazine as One of America’s Best Places to Work.
It's also Recognized as 2018's Best Places to Work in Direct Selling
Klein, who's been an independent associate with USANA for more than 5 years, will share what it's really like to be growing up with USANA.
He also shared the perks of the business and his proudest moments in the journey.
How did you start in USANA?
I first started my journey with USANA Health Sciences in the Philippines. I still remember the first presentation that I attended in 2011, I was so amazed with the Science behind its products and decided to be a consumer in the same year.
I fell in love with the products and finally decided to try the business part time when I was 23 years old. Little did I know that it will allow me to find my life's greatest adventures.
Tell us about your journey?
It's not easy but that is where the real adventure is...
I will be honest with you that in this business it takes courage, persistence and determination to be successful, just like any other business or career.
My top 3 concerns when the USANA opportunity was presented to me were;
- I had no money.
- I had no time.
- I had no experience.
But exactly, how can I get money, time or experience if I don't work on it?
As Albert Einstein have said,
Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results.
I knew it, that if I seriously wanted to change my future I should take the path less travelled. I must be willing to do the things that I never did in order for me to have the things and experience that I never had.
What did you do to overcome your initial concerns?
The reward was clear to me. I saw it as a vehicle to make my dreams a reality so the next steps that I did were...
Research
I did my own research. It's now growing close to a market cap of $3B, a listed company in the New York Stock Exchange and so much more to learn like its patented products. Then I asked why not?
Learn the Skills
Is it a business, is it a job, is it a profession or just another part-time? How you see it will lead you to your success or failure.
I saw it as a profession with learnable skills.
I tried working as a waiter, an HR staff then in hotel front office. I know what hard-work mean. So gave my attention and effort into learning and acquiring the skills in this this business.
How was it so far?
I quit my full-time job at age 25. It's my fifth year now and looking back, my heart is filled with so much gratitude with these top 5 reasons;
1. Learning and Growth Opportunity
I will not have that confidence to speak in public or to lead a multi-national team without the trainings that the company and my team provided to us.
My first public speaking workshop in Singapore called the TTT or Train The Trainer was priceless. A wonderful opportunity to be mentored by the Executive Vice President for USANA South Asia, Mr Ng Keng Hean.
I was also sent to Dubai and joined the leadership coaching by Dr Denis E. Waitley, an American motivational speaker, writer and consultant. I have met him several times now and each time is like a first time, full of wisdom!
Reaching the executive rank, I was invited to join a luncheon workshop with John Addisson from Success Magazine, Darren Hardy and Dr. John C. Maxwell in the US.
2. World Class Support
The company is setting the standard and we follow. We love the commitment of the company in not only producing high quality products but in supporting us in growing our business.
I get to decide for my own goal and we are rewarded based on the goals that we achieve.
We are given the platform to succeed. The system to follow and our job is to maximize the resources provided.
3. Events
The events are award winning! The US International Convention and the Asia-Pacific Convention are two of the biggest events that we always will look forward. It's allowing us to learn and be inspired from other global leaders and also to be recognized.
It was an opportunity of a lifetime to be able to join a record breaking event in 2017 for the "largest Gathering of People Dressed as Scientist," it's in GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS®.
4. Community and Charity
When I quit my full-time job 3 years ago, I thought I will be alone. But my international friends allowed me to see the beauty of being a full-time entrepreneur. The community is filled with amazing leaders, driven and talented dreamers and of course the healthiest USANA family to remind us to live the USANA lifestyle.
Being exposed to the charitable events in USANA also allowed me to share the blessings forward and to care for the humanity.
5. On the Go Business
I run my business in a hybrid system, I am still using traditional market approaches and leveraging on technology specially social media.
The company is open in over 24 countries. That allows us to choose and design our best strategies to expand from our finger tips or while traveling.*
What is your proudest moment?
My customers are the reason why I am here. Seeing them achieve their personal goals and influencing them to redesign their lifestyles to a healthier ways is a proud moment for me.
Growing up in this business allowed me to find my purpose. That I am born to inspire, to live my dreams and to be a blessing to others.
My proudest moment will be the moment that my business partners will become leaders of leaders empowering their cities with health and happiness.
